In a way, Pinterest is about creating collections of our favorite things, but today we’re bringing you a few ways to display the things you gather in real life. 1. Printer’s Trays were originally used to sort typesetting pieces in the time when all printed materials were set by hand. They have since gone out of use, but their eclectic look and varied cubby holes make them perfect for displaying a collection of tiny trinkets. 2. A kitschy collection of vintage globes is perfect for a space that’s home to a geography buff, world traveller, or a few curious kiddoes. It’s time for another week’s worth of Pinterest gems. This time we decided to zero in on home organization tips and tricks. The pinboards are abounding with ideas for increasing efficiency at home without being an eyesore. Because, when you get down to it, we’re a lot more motivated to take on an organization project if it’s cute as well as functional. 1.  Methodical Measuring- Say, “No More!” to looking up conversions every time you cook. Including a measurement conversion chart on a cabinet door is genius. Smile-inducing school lunch ideas- Pack a lunch that makes your student smile when they open their lunch box, or feel like a kid again by bringing some creative eats to work….

Pinterest Fab 4: Bookcases and Bright Vases

I love finding great roundups on Pinterest. That way, when I start a design project, someone else has done all the hunting and gathering for me and I can draw inspiration from one or all of the things they’ve collected. I found two really cool roundups for today that will have you itching to redesign your living room this weekend. 1. This roundup from The Lennox is great because it not only tells you how to decorate a bookcase, but it features beautiful photos of bookshelves styled by leading designers. (Including Emily Henderson who we featured last week!) This bookcase design roundup from yummymummyclub is helpful too. Tip: Stacking books horizontally leaves room for pretty items to peek out behind….

If you’re giving your home a complete overhaul or continually tweaking your interior design like me, I hope you find some inspiration from a few of my favorite things on Pinterest: Prudent Baby- Behind the name are two fabulous bloggers, Jacinda and Jaime, who share tons of easy home sewing tutorials in the most whimsical fabrics. Follow their fabric and sewing tutorials boards to see how these prints could liven up your home. Also, check out Jaime’s video about creating a custom frame wall. It’d be perfect for a kid’s bedroom, craft space, or living room. Jenny Steffens Hobick- She is a former event planner who lives in the cutest town I’ve ever been to – Concord, Massachusetts. I was crushed to find…
