Blogs We Love: Brittany Makes

Brittany

When roaming across the blogosphere, Brittany Makes immediately caught my attention. All it took was to read Brittany’s bio and I was sold: she’s an accountant by day and a blogger by night using Brittany Makes as her creative outlet while climbing the corporate ladder. Her goal to flex those creative muscles is a noble one and I found it very refreshing to find a blogger who leads a double life on what many would consider opposite ends of the spectrum: accounting and being artistic. Brittany’s blog is full of interior design inspiration, photos, and DIY crafts. Not only will you find an endless supply of beautiful things on her site, but her writing is hilarious. I don’t play favorites but…here’s…

Little Pincushion Studio

While browsing Houzz one day, I became immediately entranced after seeing the work of Annabel from Little Pincushion Studio. She teaches young girls how to sew and think with their crafty minds in this adorable studio she put together in rural Virginia. As one would expect, Annabel is an avid DIYer. Her blog consists of tons of crafty tutorials and projects. These 3 projects were especially inspiring: 1. Chair Reinvention Annabel found this vintage chair at her local Habitat for Humanity store, and after adding a little paint to it, it looks amazing! Transformations like this give me the urge to go thrift shopping, especially since the chair only cost her $10! 2. DIY Painted Clutch Inspired by “the most beautiful waxed…

Introducing our Summer Intern Rachel: Her Thoughts on Blinds.com

r July 2, 2013 | B Blinds.com Culture

Maybe you’ve already read some of my posts or maybe you’re meeting me for the first time! Either way, I wanted to talk about my experience thus far at Blinds.com and share a little about myself: Now that I’ve interned with Blinds.com for about a month, I’ve gained a lot of insight to how the company runs. Before I was offered the job, I had done a little research – I knew that Blinds.com had won ‘Marketer of the Year’ and ‘Best Place to Work in Houston’. I knew that it was a successful company and was supposed to be a fun place to work – but I had no idea to what extent. The first time that I walked…
