Here at Blinds.com we are crazy about home decor blog Domestically Speaking. On this fun site Maryann has found a creative outlet blogging about painting, DIYs, crafting, and re-purposing. Her crafty passions and love for home decor shine on her blog.
Three rooms in Maryann’s home underwent a window treatment makeover, and although they looked great before, they look even better with textural woven wood shades.
The first step to new blinds is choosing your style and color. With help from Blinds.com designer Josh, Maryann got free fabric samples to help make her choice in person.
I can tell you that Blinds.com was amazing to work with. Joshua was my contact person. I emailed him with some of the items I was loving and he immediately shipped me samples of the ones I wanted to see plus a few others he thought I would love.
Let me tell you it was tough picking! They were all gorgeous. They have many bamboo natural woven wood blinds. I ended up going with their Designer Woven Wood Shades in La Tortuga Mahogany.
Once her shades arrived, all that was left to do was install them. Maryann hung them all by herself, with our detailed instructions and how-to videos.
Putting up their shades was a breeze. The only one I needed an extra pair of hands for was a long window in the family room. Once you’ve done one you can easily install one in under 10 minutes.
Fab Finished Product
When you go from cheap mini blinds to natural woven wood blinds the difference is huge in both appearance and light filtration! What’s so great about these blinds is that they bring the look of the outdoors in with raw color and texture, just like they did below in Maryann’s family room!
Gorgeous woven wood shades, right!
Can I tell you how much I LOVE them!
They are beautiful light filtering matchstick blinds.
