Make your phone work as hard as you do to beautify your home.

Last year I featured 5 popular apps to help with home decoration in the post: Design Help From Your Smartphone – 5 DIY Apps. Because of its tremendous success, I’m back with more great iPhone and Android apps to help you decorate!

Metal Detector

As a company, one of our core values is to make everything easy and exciting for our customers. So, the metal detector app was a great find.  Available for the iPhone only, the metal detector app is the perfect tool for anyone ready to hang a window blind, a picture frame, etc.  The app helps customers locate steel studs in the wall or lost magnetized screws around the workbench.

Handyman Calculator

Time is money, so this next app is the perfect mix to manage both.  Available as a free app for any Android device, the Handyman Calculator helps calculate project materials, as well as track time spent on projects.  The app also helps customers save calculations to a notepad for future projects.

Neat

If you’re anything like me, you have countless business cards and receipts tucked away into the folds of your wallet, causing the wallet to be bulky and fat (and sadly not from an abundance of excess money!).  With Neat, you can scan receipts, paint chips, and contractors’ cards.  For a small fee, Neat holds all your important notes on a secure cloud.  The Neat app is available as a free download for both Android and iOS users.

ImageMeter

Whether you are out shopping for a carpet, a couch, or a table, the common question “will this fit?” always stands true.  But, through the help of ImageMeter for Android, customers can now feel at ease.  The ImageMeter app allows users to snap photos of any room, and use the app to notate accurate measurements for better spacial awareness.

Color 911

The Color 911 app allows users to match hues from photos, paint chips, or built-in themes created by a color consultant.  The consultant helps users customize palettes that can then be recreated and shown to the person at the paint counter.
