Each month, the team at Blinds.com collectively picks a charity or cause to get behind, whether it’s a volunteer effort or a drive to collect items for a chairty in need. Blinds.com Customer Care Specialist Eric Lens was kind enough to be today’s guest author and share with you a little about this month’s effor and how you can help.
Every month we give back to the community and for the month of April, we are having a drive for our four legged friends in need! Last year the Houston SPCA had sheltered over 100,000 homeless animals. Many of us here at Blinds.com have our own animals and we are thrilled to be able to give back to our community and help in any way we can with providing them with the supplies necessary for the up-keep. We are currently collecting the following supplies:
Our Animals Need:
Cat Litter (Non-clumping)
Fabric Toilet Seat Covers (for cat beds)
Fresh Greens and Lettuce (not iceberg) for rabbits
Hamster, Mice, Ferret, Gerbil, Rabbit, and Guinea Pig Food
Pet Grooming Supplies
Pet Toys – Cats and Dogs
Soft Dog Treats for Training
Rabbit Litter (Yesterday’s News)
Halters, Horse Blankets & Lead Ropes
We Also Need:
Monetary Donations (click here to donate online today)
Towels and Blankets
Batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V)
Cotton Swabs and Cotton Balls
Disposable Rubber Gloves
8 ½ ” X 11″ copy paper, white and any color
Office supplies (scissors, tape, pens, black & red sharpies, etc.)
Large plastic watering cans
Gallon Sized Ziplocked Bags
Play Pens/Dog & Cat Beds/Baby Gates
The items will be collected here at our Blinds.com office and on Thursday, April 21st we will be visiting the Houston SPCA to present them with our donations. We’re located in the Westchase Business District at 10555 Richmond Ave. on the 2nd floor. Don’t forget to check in on Facebook when you’re here!
